The shipping company Finnlines will start operating in September on a new route from Finland to the port of London Medway, with further connections to Belgium, Ireland and Spain. With the new connection, customers benefit from shorter transport times and greater cargo capacity.
The Port of London Medway is located in Kent on the Isle of Sheppey, which has a short connection to mainland Europe. The port's infrastructure is well-developed, as the port has a railway and direct access to the highway. The first ship's turn arrives at Medway port on 23 September 2024.
To reduce emissions, the three ships operating the route have a lot of cutting-edge technology, such as an air lubrication system, high-power batteries and solar panels.
There will also be other changes between Finland and Great Britain in September, as the route connection between Helsinki and Hull will end, therefore there will be changes in departure dates and transport times, so we recommend contacting our customer service / your contact person regarding transport inquiries.
